Naked Websites

Sorry to disappoint 'some' of you.. It is not about websites with naked content.
It is about websites that are naked! Literally..! Only for a day though.

A website get naked by dropping all its clothing - or style sheets, rather...
This is what CSS Naked Day is all about,
to show the world that the content of a site actually can be more than skin deep.
This year's CSS Naked Day was last Wednesday 9th April, I'll be sure to inform you all before hand in next year.

Domain Names

We had a lot of issues with domain names lately..
From people wanting to be the biggest thing on realestate to people forget to renew their domain names.
Even people wanting to remove their whois database info from the site that never really kicked off..!
Some people buying names to kick the pants of their competition..!!

You would think domain names some value then, yea.. how's 2.6 million dollars sound..?

Yes..! A US man sold his domain name pizza.com for $2.6m.
He paid $20 per year for 14 years and "boofka" .. read full story (not now.. when you got time..)

iPhone SDK

Yea.. Apple.. they never stop re-inventing the wheel do they..?
Good thing is that the new wheels are just so happen to be the coolest thing imaginable..

Apple released an SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to write applications,
using the resources available on the iPhone such as Multi-Touch interface.

API - Application Programming Interface

A library of functions and routines that makes it easier for developers to utilise
an existing software based service, program or even a language.

Google Maps is a software service and the Maps API provide you with
all the functions you need to access and use the service.

Flickr is a photo sharing site and the Flickr API gives you the ability
to search, categorise, sort, upload your photos from a different environment, like a plug-in for iPhoto

jQuery is a JavaScript library that provides an easy use, compact interface
to write JavaScript in a more advanced, cross browser manner to make me look like bloody genius..
