FNN Issue 16
No. 16 Bust a cap with analytics and fiddle around
Wednesday, 10th November 2010
I don't need to talk more about Google Analytics, this one is the bomb for website analytics. Like any other Google product, it just does what it does to the jaw-dropping level.
Anyway, there are few other tools that gives you a different perspective on your website visitors. This fortnight starts with some of them.
But before all that....
Wuzzaa..app! Yo.. killa appz bro!
YO YO CHEK DIS OUT .. WHATCHU KNO 'BOUT DIS SUCKA
ME IS DOIN DIS SH*T FO AGES BRO .. 'NYWAYS.. CHEK DIS FUL GANSTA WEB DEV VID!!
I IS LIKE TO THANK ALL DA NIGGAS BROS FOR VISITIN AND ENJOYIN DIS
KEEP IT REAL .. PEACE!!
Analyise that!
There is this buzz word that you cannot see enough of ... data visualisation! It's the next best thing after — if you know this, you know CSS — overflow:hidden, if you know what I mean!
While data visualisastion is key to your analytics the following 2 services take the buzzword to the next level.
Trailhead

All your questions about the height of your website and if people are really clicking on your call to action, you can see all that information on a nice graphic — heatmaps are so in right now!
Visit http://trailheadapp.com/
Seevolution

This is another novel way to see the analytics on your website, without actually leaving your site. The seevolution toolbar is something that will bring the analytics on to your website .. in real time (apparently).
It's magical because it's musical
Now, this is a real nice piece of work .. don't need to say much, just enjoy..
Now I want an iPad just for that!! Good piece of work by Smule.
Design inspiration of the fortnight
Okay .. see for me, design is function as much as it is form..
I picked Pointy Design for it's simplycity, structure and subtle interactivity.

Not only that, it is running on WordPress. Also has an informative blog.
Have a great fortnight!
